    • They're under direct control of an adult
    • The ground within 2m of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
    • There's an adequate supply of water (minimum of a bucket)

However the following campgrounds are exempt:

    Dharug National Park

    • Mill Creek Campground

    Mount Royal National Park

    • Youngville Campground

    Yengo National Park

    • Blue Gums Campground
    • Mountain Arm Campground
    • Yengo House
    • Finchley Campground
    • Mogo Campground

If a Total Fire Ban is in place, different rules apply. Contact the local park office before bringing a gas or electric barbecue or cooker.
Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information about fire bans in parks and reserves including your responsibilities, visit the NSW National Parks fire safety page.

This walk was a lot more challenging than what I thought it was going to be based on the other reviews! There are a number of very steep climbs up rock faces and very slippery creek crossings. Parts of it felt quite dangerous especially when wet as it was when I went! Lots of elevation - about 400m of climbing in total. There were times where it was hard to tell where the track was supposed to go - I think the signage is better if you do the loop anti-clockwise. This area is very remote and isolated - I did not see a single other person in the 4.5 hours I was there, and mobile signal is patchy even on the Telstra network. BEWARE OF LEECHES in the wet - you MUST apply insect repellant otherwise you will be bitten! Beware of spiders - this track does not seem to be walked often and I found many spiders spinning webs right on the track. I found the scenery to be average. There are some nice areas with beautiful ferns near the start/end of the track, and you can get an occasional glimpse of some mountains once you've gotten some elevation. I didn't get to see much wildflowers when I went (in autumn), only a few banksias and acacias
