Best hotel ever! Stayed here for 4 nights in June. Everything was superb. Room was clean, everything functioning, good soundproofing. Best thing was having a full kitchen with two stoves, one microwave, big refrigerator, cooking and dining utensils. Although maybe if they have a soup pot and a cover for the frying pan, that would be even better. But no complaints, it is sufficient as it is for a single person! Having a wash machine and dryer too was wonderful! Both very easy to navigate, works well and is clean! The detergent provided in tubes is enough to wash all my clothes too. Smells nice too! Thanks Meriton! Also the most important part, the hotel gym is clean with well maintained machines, lots of Dumbbells, I think it goes up to 20kg plus. Even has yoga mats, medicine balls, bosu ball. There is a pool but I did not use it. Looks clean too. Contrary to what I have read online, the gym wasn't packed with people at all (at most I have experienced is 4 people including myself). My gym time was between 630pm-8pm. The renovation of the lifts did not affect the lift at all. It came very fast and there was not much of wait time. I stayed at the 10th floor. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Good looking too🙃 Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would very much love to return!
Unfortunately the worst stay I’ve had in a hotel in a very long time. We booked 3 nights. When we arrived they told us that the spa, gym and pool are all under renovation and we can’t use them. Would have been great to be informed before we turned up. Next, nothing in the room works. The appliances were completely wrecked. TV wouldn’t connect to internet - when we informed reception they brushed it off with no solution. The dryer didn’t work - when we informed reception they said maintenance would come the next day. They never came. I had washed my laundry and needed it back that night so asked reception to please dry it in another room. They took it but didn’t dry it. Did not bring it back until I called the next day and they brought it back still wet. The aircon didn’t work - this made it unbearable and uncomfortable to sleep or even be in the room as it only blows hot air no matter what setting it’s on. We asked for clean towels on one day and they never brought them. The phone in the room doesn’t work half the time and when I’d try call reception it would not connect so we had to go all the way down or go without. For some reason the only focus on yelling hello at you every single time you walk back and forth past reception instead of focusing on decent customer service. Wouldn’t the best thing to do be to move the guests to a room with working appliances? Honestly I could not wait to get out of here and go home. Awful
When we checked in the lady who helped us was amazing. She was polite, kind and helpful. We arrived really early in the morning and they accommodated us and had a room ready. However, the view of a black wall wasn't wasn't I wanted for a whole week. Well, the lady at the front called to ask how the room was and when I said I didn't like the view, she offered us another room. I hate to say this but I upgraded to the larger 1 bed suite a few days before we arrived. It wasn't a great idea because all rooms of that size are on the lowest floors and our view was miserable. We were looking into some dingy offices in the 2nd choice. The bedroom room, however, was comfortable. We had an office space which was unexpected. The kitchen had a full size fridge, full sized stove and there was a separate laundry room. The bathroom was big and had lots of storage. My only other critic was that the bathroom is in the very front of the apartment... the kitchen and laundry are between the bedroom and bathroom. There was also a nail in the carpet, by the bathroom that we kept stepping on occasionally. There's an indoor pool. It was supposed to be heated to 23 or 28deg C but it was ice cold. The guy and said are also a great addition. Bottom line, I'd stay at this property again or another one of Meriton 's suites. It was a good experience.
Great rooms! Tidy and spacious, I was able to do laundry in the middle of my trip which was awesome. The service was great too, never had to wait to talk to someone, thank you! Also the location is fantastic, I walked to get delicious food for every meal and could get on public transportation super easily.
I recently stayed at this property in June 2026 for 4 nights. I booked a standard studio suite and was given an accessible/ ambulant room. It didn't matter, but it was not at all attractive and offered little comfort to guests who needed these facilities. Please note that if you do need an ambulant-accessible room, check the facilities, as all that was provided was a grab rail at the toilet and a ramped entry to the bathroom; the shower recess would not fit a wheelchair. The room is tidied every 3 days, and face washes and hand towels are not provided. I did not have hand soap until a bar was left on day 3. The bed was comfortable, but I was cold; there were no extra blankets in the room, and I couldn't change the air conditioning. First impressions: the location is central and across the road from the theatre; Campbell Street is dirty, with litter in the gutters from neighbouring old, rundown, dirty Chinatown shops; the street is a dead end; and metered street parking is very limited. Haymarket Chinatown and Darling Harbour, and the ICC is a short 10-minute walk away; the light rail is a few steps from the entrance. First impressions are of the reception staff, who are very friendly and provide good service, but that's where it ends. This hotel lacks atmosphere and is uninviting. Upon opening my door, I found dirty sheets piled on top of the dining table and had to call to have them removed. Housekeeping removed them and gave no thought to actually wiping over the table to clean and make it hygienic. Speaking to my work colleague, they also found a dirty pillowcase on their table, so this wasn't a one-off mistake. The Hotel elevators are terrible; only 2 of the 4 operate, and they are extremely slow. As they are a new digital system, the level must be selected in the hallway, and this was malfunctioning. It took me an hour to wait for the lift to get from the foyer to level 14 and back during the busy checkout times. I didn't use the hotel elevator parking as this was too complicated and limited. Campbell Street, as a dead end, becomes completely blocked by waiting taxis when the theatre shows end, and the Wilson carpark is used by theatre patrons; you can't rely on parking there. The closest other public carpark is in Goulburn Street; however, I was nervous about leaving my car there overnight (I did park at the ICC for 3 nights and then moved to Goulburn Street parking on the last night). I booked this hotel as we were exhibiting at the Design Show for work; for that purpose, it was sufficient, but I wouldn't stay here otherwise. If you have large suitcases or heavy bags, prams, or young children, you will struggle if you're arriving/departing by your own car or public transport. There are many better hotels and suites in nicer, cleaner locations in the city.
