YHA Thredbo

Great experience at the Thredbo YHA. We are a family of 4. 2 adults, 2 teens. Stayed for two nights. Steph was very friendly and helpful even when we arrived after reception had closed and we were a bit frazzled. Would highly recommend the YHA as a good value place to stay at Thredbo.

Best hostel I've ever stayed. Great amenities and professional friendly service. We went there out of season. (End of February). Kitchen fully equipped. Free public carpark near by (a few stairs up or down hill). Absolutely great views from shared area.

Room was chill, but facilities were terrible. Two toilets for the whole joint meant that we witnessed multiple people urinating in the sinks and showers which is simply disgusting. Additionally frustrating was the lack of signage showing that breakfast required payment. For $12 you would expect a touch more than the bare minimum typically provided for free elsewhere, and had we known we would not have opted for it.

I've been meaning to review since May last year! I stayed here for two nights to walk Mt Kozzie and do the 30km loop. I absolutely destroyed my feet and the next morning could hardly walk due to blisters. The next morning, Julie made up a foot soak with essential oils. I sat by the fire and soaked my feet for 45mins! It was so relaxing and really helped me with walking back to my car. Such kindness as she really didn't have to, so thank you and sorry it's taken so long to review!
