Montague Island Tour

Take off from the Moruya River, adjacent to South Broulee beach, famous for surf breaks. Tracking south down the coast offers spectacular views of the famously unspoilt South Coast beaches and the mountains of the Deua National Park to the west. After passing the incredible rock formations at Bingie Point we head southeast towards Montague Island. Your chances of seeing marine wildlife are high, as seals, dolphins and whales frequent Montague and the rich waters surrounding it. Take in great views of the Tuross River Estuary and Lake Coila as they make their way north and enjoy a graceful water landing in the river off Moruya Heads.

Taking off from the Moruya River, we track the coast south experiencing spectacular views of the famously unspoilt South Coast beaches and the mountains of the Deua National Park to the west. They get an unmatched aerial view of the unique rock formations at Bingie Point, and the remains of the steamship SS Monaro which ran aground there in 1879. Whales (in season) and other marine life are common sites as they follow the coastline south. At Potato Point they turn to the north-east, taking in views of the Tuross River Estuary and Lake Coila as you make their way back for a graceful water landing in the river off Moruya Heads.

My daughters and I had the best flight out over Montague Island! Wow what an experience! It was so special to see this amazing part of Australia by air and the flight itself was brilliant. It was the girls first flight ever in a seaplane and they can’t stop talking about it!! Couldn’t recommend it enough.
