Staff were friendly. Room was affordable for two nights but the carpet needs a bit of a clean. We ended up wearing shoes on the carpet as the soles of our feet went black and you could see how dirty the carpet was.
And with room service coming to empty the bins they didn’t put extra milk in the fridge. There was the little containers and I had two kids having cereal. (Was lucky I brought extra milk). And the microwave didn’t work. Lucky I packed extra food that didn’t need the microwave for my kids.

We visited ballarat on 13 ad 14 Feb 2026 spending Valentine in Ballarat and really did not regret taking the offer to stay in this affordable motel with spacious room. Although the motel is ran by minimum staff and minimum service, all we need was a place to stay with convince to enjoy Beautiful Ballarat. The room is clean although are not flash (good on the price) with all the basic coffee and tea and milk. Most of all, a very good location with walking distance to the CBD. I will recommend family and couple to stay if you want a good and budget motel where the room is spacious for kids and even through the carpark is a little steep upward, it is spacious for you to park and even put our mountain bike in the room. Love the motel and the friendly, timid host.

Rooms are basic but comfortable. The location is great, walking distance to places to eat, 5 min drive to the wildlife park, and 3 mins to sovereign hill.

Absolutely terrible motel.
Lights didn't work in bathroom or hallway. Beds were basically concrete slabs with a blanket. And to add to the experience the blinds dont block light at all so the whole room was lit up all night.
