Brilliantly Ballarat Discovery Walk

We did a Ballarat foodie & Gin Distillery walking tour. What a fabulous experience. Our host Jarrod and Emma have a great knowledge of all the restaurants we visited and the historical, architectural context along the way. A delightful couple who made the afternoon lots of fun. Totally AWESOME! This tour had everything; Indigenous food treats, artisanal gin, unique food pairing and diverse cultural cuisines showcasing Ballarat’s history. Ps. Don’t let the weather fool you like I did I thought it’s going to be horrible walking in the rain but no it was not. It was quite opposite!! It was not that bad but charming, magical and fun in a way.

Had an excellent time on Jarrod's tour of Ballarat. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the area and it's lovely buildings. Loved the gin tasting and cheese platter, plus the lunch and staff at Grainery Lane. Highly recommend this tour if you have an interest in the town.

I took the Vintage Fashion Tour with Emma and it was such a great experience. Being part of a small group made it more relaxed and fun – all the shopping and history stops were paced really well. I loved going into vintage shops I hadn’t been inside before, and learning about all the amazing historical business owners in Ballarat. With Emma’s useful tips about vintage sizing, I even found an amazing 20s-style beaded dress to wear to a special occasion. The photos and the stories really brought the old buildings alive. The rest breaks were really well-timed – stopping at the end for a fruity mocktail at the 20s-themed Sip Champagne Bar felt like a really nice luxury end to the tour. I highly recommend the Vintage Fashion Tour (and the other Hidden Lanes tours) for a fun way to experience Ballarat’s history and hidden gems 🌟
