Slip through the door of this charming historic cottage in the foothills of the Otways Ranges and you'll discover an oasis of solitude.

Set on a quarter of an acre, the biggest drawcard here is the sprawling courtyard with its workshop and bar, games room and projector for movie nights, firepit, hammock and outdoor iron bathtub. Inside, wood panelled walls and a rustic bathroom with handmade corrugated iron shower create a warm and welcoming nest for you and your family to retreat to, tucked into cosy linen bedding.

Birregurra is in the hinterland behind The Great Ocean Road. Many of the cottage's visitors book the cottage to dine at nearby Brae Restaurant or explore The Otways.
