Cumberland River Holiday Park

Welcome to Cumberland River Holiday Park, where the mountains meet the sea.

Cumberland River Holiday Park is beautifully situated along the iconic Great Ocean Road, approximately a 10 minute drive from Lorne.

Nestled in a lush green valley surrounded by dramatic cliffs and rolling mountains, the park offers a truly unique natural escape. The Cumberland River winds its way alongside the park, flowing through picturesque rock pools and sandy stretches before meeting the Southern Ocean.

As part of their unique off-grid setting, Cumberland River Holiday Park generates its own electricity. A diesel generator is used to charge a bank of 24 batteries, with the stored energy then converted to approximately 240 volts through a series of inverters. To help protect the park's power system and your electrical appliances, each cabin is provided with only one power point, intended for charging small electronic devices such as phones and tablets, as well as for the use of CPAP machines. They appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping them carefully manage their electricity supply.

Their water supply comes directly from the Cumberland River. Water is pumped from the river using a diesel-powered pump to two large storage tanks located high in the surrounding hills. From there, the water is supplied throughout the park through a gravity-fed system.
