The Eildon Pondage Walk around the lower pondage is flat and easy to navigate. It's a perfect walk for beginner hikers or those with little ones in tow. It is also a popular cycling loop.
The six kilometre circuit starts from Eildon Lions Park and takes about an hour to complete, but you can jump onto the trail from almost any of the pondage visitor areas along the waterfront.
On your circuit you'll find plenty of Instagram worthy shots, passing two picturesque jetties and crossing over the Goulburn Valley Highway Bridge which overlooks the Eildon Dam Wall in the distance.
We visited Lake Eildon and the Eildon Pondage Point at the beginning of October and were truly captivated by its natural beauty and peaceful surroundings. The scenic views, calm waters, and refreshing atmosphere made it a memorable experience. We highly recommend this destination to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway close to nature.

Nice place for relaxing and fishing. But we did not get any as there were many weeds.
There is a bbq area nearby and a basic toilet facility. You can go for a walk and explore the area.
I saw many people trying fishing using lures under the bridge. Something for us to target next time we visit the area.

My wife and I have been coming here to fish for years with our little dog. It's always such a relaxing place to spend a few hours, we usually have a good time even when we don't get a single bite. Very easy to catch something you can eat as well.
