Great Ocean Road Resort

Our room was amazing and so beautiful, very nice and clean. The pool and gym there was amazing and so easy to use! Will definitely stay again in the future. Beautiful scenery too.

Our stay at Great Ocean Road Resort was honestly one of the most disappointing accommodation experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we booked, communication was incredibly poor. We sent multiple emails before and during our stay and never received a response. It immediately gave us the impression that once they had our booking, customer service simply wasn’t a priority. Throughout our stay, our room wasn’t serviced at all. Our towels were never changed, the beds were never made, and no general housekeeping was carried out. When you’re paying to stay at a resort, you expect a basic standard of cleanliness and service, but unfortunately that wasn’t our experience. What made everything even worse was the way we were treated by staff. Rather than feeling welcomed or respected, we found the service to be rude, dismissive, and unhelpful whenever we tried to raise concerns. It felt like any genuine questions or issues were met with suspicion instead of a willingness to help. The most upsetting part of our stay involved one of our friends. Money was deducted from her account after she was accused of being responsible for something that she had nothing to do with. The people actually involved were complete strangers to our group, yet she was still left dealing with the financial consequences. Seeing someone wrongly blamed and charged without what we felt was a fair investigation completely overshadowed what was supposed to be an enjoyable trip away. You cannot assume someone’s apparent wrong doing without any proof ( Not that we did anything we were accused of ) and abuse their privacy and bank details. When we spoke to management they said “ I didn’t work the weekend so i can’t help you.” We were then told the owners are overseas and we couldn’t contact them, however the owners deducted funds at 5am on a Sunday morning. Instead of leaving with great memories of the Great Ocean Road, we left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and genuinely upset. A holiday should be about relaxing and enjoying time with friends, not worrying about unanswered emails, poor service, lack of housekeeping, and unexpected charges. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend NOT staying here. We hope management takes customer service more seriously, improves communication, and ensures any future disputes are handled fairly and through a Professional system and only after a thorough investigation. No guest should leave feeling ignored, disrespected, or unfairly treated.

We just stayed at Great Ocean Road Resort in Anglesea with my wife and our three kids and honestly, it was such a great find. The location is spot on – about a 400m walk to the beach, right across the road from the river, and an easy stroll into the shops. You can park the car and basically not touch it unless you’re heading off to explore further down the Great Ocean Road. The apartment itself was big, clean and really comfortable for a family of five. Plenty of space for everyone, super kid-friendly, and nice and quiet at night which is gold when you’ve got little ones. The indoor heated pool was an absolute winner – the kids loved it and were in there every chance they got. There’s also a well-equipped gym (which I appreciated!) and an on-site restaurant that made dinners easy after big days out. Staff were excellent – friendly, helpful and nothing felt like too much trouble. Easy parking, peaceful vibe, and genuinely great value for what you get. It was the perfect base to explore the Great Ocean Road and we’d 100% stay again. Highly recommend for families.

I had a wonderful experience at the resort. Comfy bed. Quiet room. Loved the decor, colours and supply of Love tea! will most definitely be back!
