Gumbuya World is the only theme park in Victoria boasting water slides, roller coasters, rides, live shows and wildlife all in one location.
Feel the rush as you brave exhilarating thrill rides, or cool off in expansive water attractions. Then, immerse yourself in the wonders of nature as you encounter wildlife, from cuddly koalas to majestic kangaroos.
One minute you'll be handfeeding penguins, then reach speeds of 70 kilometres per hour on a roller coaster, before rounding the day off with a plunge down one of the epic water slides.
Gumbuya World is Victoria's Wildest Theme Park.
I recently visited Gumbuya World and overall I had a really good time. The park has a great mix of water attractions, thrill rides, and wildlife experiences, which made the whole day feel exciting instead of repetitive. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend the entire day without getting bored. The water park was probably my favourite part. The slides were fun, the pools were clean, and there was enough variety for both kids and adults. On a warm day, it’s honestly the perfect place to cool off and relax while still having heaps to do. The thrill rides were also better than I expected, especially the roller coasters, which actually gave a decent adrenaline rush without needing to travel to the Gold Coast for a bigger theme park experience. I also liked that the park wasn’t just rides and slides. Being able to walk through the wildlife area and see animals in between attractions made the day feel more unique. It gave the park a more family-friendly atmosphere and broke things up nicely. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, and the park itself looked well maintained. There were plenty of shaded areas to sit and take breaks, which was good because it can become pretty tiring walking around all day. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the wait times got really long during the busy parts of the day. Food and drinks inside the park were also pretty expensive, so I’d definitely recommend planning ahead and budgeting extra money for that. Overall though, I genuinely enjoyed my visit to Gumbuya World and would definitely go back again. It’s a really fun day out for families, friend groups, or even just anyone wanting a mix of rides, water slides, and animals all in one place.
An amazing experience at Gumbaya World in April 2026. We were lucky enough to have access to Gumbaya World a couple of hours before the general public, as I participated in the Race Hub Gumbaya World Running Festival. No admission fee for me as the Race Fees gave us access to the prk. I stayed nearly half the day as it was an early start to the race and then we had access to the grounds after the race. The atmosphere was amazing despite the rainy weather, as soon as the rides whirled into life the atmosphere amped up. Due to the on again/ off again rain, sun, wind, four-seasons-in-one-day weather, the crowds were low but still had a great time. All the staff around Gumbaya World were super friendly, happy and courteous. Gumbaya World is suitable for any ages and abilities.
Yes, it’s on the dearer side, but you absolutely get what you pay for!! . There are heaps of rides for both young kids and older thrill-seekers, including big roller coasters, plus a huge water park to cool off in. On top of that, the animal experiences are a real highlight - seeing koalas, kangaroos and more all in one place makes it feel like multiple attractions in one. A full-day family adventure that keeps everyone happy. Highly recommend as one of Melbournes best attractions.
We celebrated my child's birthday at Gumbuya World and it was absolutely fantastic! Fairly priced, and the best part - you get to stay all day, not just an hour or two like other venues. One parent goes free with each child, so all the adults got to enjoy the rides too! The park is spacious, clean, and never felt crowded. Our party at the Outback Café was beautiful and well-organised, with heaps of great food for the kids. The standout for me was their care with allergies. My son has dairy anaphylaxis, and they went above and beyond: a separate cooker for his food, his cake stored safely, and staff who genuinely cared. It’s so rare for a big venue to get this right, I was blown away. They were also super flexible when a few kids were sick and happily let siblings take their places. My child loved their little party showbag, and every parent said it was the best party of the year. Highly recommend Gumbuya World for birthdays - truly exceptional! 🎉💕
Gumbuya World is a fantastic day out for families and thrill-seekers alike. The park is well laid out with a great mix of attractions, from exciting water slides and rides to animal encounters and scenic areas to relax. The water park is a highlight, especially on warm days, with plenty of options for both kids and adults. The wildlife section is well maintained and offers a nice opportunity to see native animals up close, which adds an educational element to the visit. Staff throughout the park are friendly and helpful, and safety is clearly a priority. Food options are decent, though a bit on the pricey side, which is fairly standard for theme parks. Overall, Gumbuya World offers good value for a full day of fun, especially for families. With a bit of planning to avoid peak times, it’s an enjoyable and memorable experience that’s worth visiting at least once.
