We had an absolutely incredible stay at Hotel Vera. The rooms are stunning and very comfortable, with high attention to detail in every corner. There's a beautiful blend of luxury and welcoming features, and everything feels very thoughtful. And to top it off, David and Martin are exceptional hosts. Thanks team for a wonderful, restorative stay xx
We first stayed at Hotel Vera when we attended a wedding in Ballarat in December. Because of the event we didn’t get to spend much time at the hotel which was a shame because the hotel is so beautiful and luxurious. We decided to come back for an evening during a long weekend so we could relax and enjoy the hotel properly and it was the absolute best stay. The hotel is so thoughtfully and beautifully decorated - you feel the luxury the moment you step in through the main door. The rooms are both practical and comfortable, whilst also being beautifully decorated. The bath makes the stay feel even more luxurious. The beds are huge and very comfortable (more in the softer side). They have absolutely thought about every detail (the light settings!). Staying at Vera Hotel IS the experience, no need to even leave the building, and the perfect oasis for a weekend getaway. And the breakfast - wow! You can taste the freshness and quality in every element of the breakfast. And to top it off David and Martin are absolutely stellar, making you feel right at home.
From entering the property through the magnificent front door to departing the next morning, this property is a class above! This 19th century ‘lady’ has been tastefully renovated, balancing the past, present and future beautifully and passionately. We were warmly welcomed by David feeling SO at home. The accommodation is first class from the bed, the room and inclusions, the best shower ever!!!! One could go on. The breakfast of produce from the local area was fresh and delicious (we purchased the granola….yum). We will return again for a longer stay over a weekend to experience the restaurant’s delights! Thanks again David and Martin for our wonderful stay!
The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. The large bathtub and indoor spa were perfect for relaxing after a long day of travel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linen bedding felt so warm and cozy. It was the most comfortable hotel we stayed at during our entire trip. If we come back to this city or if our friends visit, this will definitely be our first choice. A special thank you to Martin for the detailed introduction and warm welcome, and to David for the kind farewell and for helping me with my luggage. My nine-year-old daughter gives it a 10 out of 10!
This hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are beautiful, the overall cozy, warm, and incredibly tasteful interior design down to the attention to even the smallest detail. The owners have mastered the art of genuine and kind hospitality which feels like such a rare find. The staff are lovely and overall the place is just wonderful. The location is so convenient - close to cafes, restaurants, shops and the hospital and not far away from the lake. We stayed at hotel vera with our greyhound, needless to say she must have felt like a royal hound with cuddles and love from everybody she met. I could not recommend it enough. We will definitely return. Thanks so much Martin, David, and Jared
