We did not stay, but went for dinner on Steak night. The steak was served with fries & a peppercorn sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection ( medium rare) the peppercorn sauce was light & with a subtle hint of peppercorns. The fries were hot & good. All this for $29. We also stopped by for a drink & some Pillow bread with Ricotta & Honey - so delicious. If we are in Rutherglen again we will be back for sure..

As soon as you step through the door onto the tartan carpet, this place feels quite elevated/special. Warm and cosy with a lovely ambiance. We were seated near the fireplace and had thoroughly enjoyable and considered meal. Great drinks, excellent service and beautiful, tasty meals. Matching the meals with drink suggestions took out the guess work, thanks!

We stayed at the Victoria Hotel for two nights on our way back from Canberra this week. What a delight!! The hotel has been very tastefully renovated. The room was great. The meals were excellent. The staff (this includes you Charlie) were delightful. And the owners Matt and Kate are a lovely couple and well suited to hosting such a nice venue. Would highly recommend staying at The Vic to anyone thinking about a stay in or around Rutherglen as it provides a great central location for exploring the region before coming back for a meal and a rest.

what a stunning hotel. Beautifully renovated with amazing attention to detail. The rooms are so spacious and the beds very comfortable. The bar is warm and friendly and food stunning. The venison and the whipped ricotta with hot honey were stand outs. They have a great range of local wines and some really lovely French champagne. A great way to spend a weekend away and feel pampered. Easy access to all the wineries is a bonus.

Love love love! Rooms were super comfy, clean and well appointed. Restaurant has an incredible menu which lived up to every expectation. Service received was impeccable and we were made to feel so incredibly comfortable and welcome. Thank you and what a wonderful experience! Will definitely be back.
