Wisps of Wool Retreat is a boutique rural sanctuary on Wolithiga Country, located just 20 minutes north of Echuca Moama in the Murray River region of northern Victoria.
Set amongst native bushland with open paddocks, grazing animals, and birdsong, the property offers a genuinely restorative alternative to conventional accommodation. The retreat features four queen bedrooms, generous living and dining spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, wide verandas with bush views, a heated magnesium plunge pool, artisan water sourced from deep underground, indoor and outdoor woodfires, and optional local produce hampers.
Wisps of Wool offers a range of curated experiences including the Evening Light Immersion, a four-night restorative retreat for women, intimate weddings and elopements for up to 80 guests, bespoke events, and exclusive accommodation for small gatherings of up to eight overnight guests.
The property is architecturally unique, a housing award finalist combining modern luxury with sustainable design, and sits 300 metres from the Murray River with easy access to the Gunbower Wetlands, Echuca Moama's historic Port precinct, and surrounding bushland.

Each of the four queen bedrooms has been carefully styled to offer comfort, calm and connection to the natural surrounds. With quality linen, spacious layouts, and a soothing bush palette, every room invites deep rest and relaxation. The Main Bedroom features its own private ensuite and exclusive access to a secluded outdoor bath, perfect for a peaceful soak under the stars. Sliding glass doors open onto the veranda, offering bush views and gentle breezes. Adjacent to the main bedroom, the Bush View Bedroom also opens onto the veranda and shares the same restful views of the surrounding native landscape. The two Treetop View Bedrooms are located at the back of the house, offering leafy, views of the treetops and are ideal for guests seeking privacy and quiet. The three non-ensuite rooms have easy access to the main shared bathroom and a separate toilet, ensuring convenience and comfort for all guests. The veranda is fully enclosed in flywire with ceiling fans, making it an additional space for relaxing and meals.

Wisps of Wool is an exceptional retreat. Lynn our host made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Her eye for detail was outstanding. The space was so relaxing and very spacious. We had fun in the plunge pool and talking to the animals. The walk to the river was just what we needed. The stillness and quietness was amazing. We will certainly be back, 10/10

As soon as Lynn greets you at the front door at the most beautiful accomodation , you feel instantly relaxed. So peaceful. Lynn has thought of simply everything that makes your stay absolutely perfect. You could not want for more. The food, the accomodation, the therapies, the magnesium spa and the conversations make it the wonderful experience for women to enjoy and leave feeling fully refreshed and rested.

Thank you Lynn, for a truly relaxing and peaceful weekend. My besties and I have just returned from a much needed escape from the city, and it didnt disappoint. The accommodation and facilities were exceptional, the location very tranquil and your attention to detail was spot on. Loved the rustic decor, the plunge pool and meeting Tex the pig! A very special experience.

Wisps of wool retreat was an amazing place to stay. Lynn the host is such an accommodating friendly person where nothing was too hard for her to organise for us. The accomodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with beautiful attention to detail with very tasteful interesting creative decore. The magnesium pool was a treat to soak in as the sun set through the gum trees. I recommend this place highly to anyone wanting to find a relaxing escape.
