If you’re planning a visit to Mayfield Garden, I highly recommend going during autumn — it’s honestly the best time to experience the place. The entire garden transforms into a stunning orange and red wonderland, and every corner feels like a postcard moment. Be prepared to walk quite a lot, so wearing comfortable shoes is a must. The paths aren’t exactly heels-friendly, and you’ll enjoy the experience so much more if you’re comfortable. Also, make sure to dress appropriately for the weather — it can get quite cold and windy, especially during the cooler months. One of the highlights for us was the free boating on the lake — such a fun and relaxing activity. We also grabbed hot chocolate from one of the food trucks, which was perfect for the chilly weather. There’s a restaurant near the entrance, but keep in mind that it closes earlier than the garden itself, and the next dining option is quite far. If you’re visiting with kids (or even just want to be prepared), bringing snacks is a great idea. Also, don’t forget to bring a power bank — you’ll definitely be taking heaps of photos because the garden is just that beautiful. Lastly, public toilets are limited, so it’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with their locations early on. Overall, such a magical and peaceful place — definitely worth the visit! 🍂✨

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Mayfield Garden! Spread across 65 acres of breathtaking landscapes, hidden pathways, beautiful water features, and stunning seasonal gardens, this place truly feels like a little escape into nature. Every corner of the garden has something unique to explore, making it a perfect destination for both adults and kids. One thing you definitely shouldn’t miss is the famous maze — such a fun experience and one of the highlights of the visit! Whether you’re walking through the vibrant gardens, relaxing by the lakes, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, there’s something incredibly calming about this place. The location is absolutely perfect for a day picnic, a weekend drive, or simply spending quality time with family and loved ones away from the busy city life. If you’re visiting Oberon, Mayfield Garden is definitely a must-visit destination!

Beautifully maintained gardens with stunning scenery, peaceful walking trails, lakes and waterfalls. A perfect day trip from Sydney, especially during autumn when the colours are amazing. The property is huge, so wear comfortable shoes and allow plenty of time to explore. The café and overall atmosphere were great too. Entry is a bit pricey, but not bad for a one time experience. Recommended for photography lovers.

What a beautiful place! It truly feels like a little piece of heaven on earth. The gardens are absolutely stunning, peaceful, and incredibly well maintained. We enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend!

Visited in winter and the garden still had a lot to offer. Good facilities, great views and helpful staff. However the way to the maze and from the maze back to the cafe turned into a pure nightmare. Almost nil signs put up to indicate the exit and we were lost in spite of following the map and kept walking on a gravel road with 3 children and an elderly person for about an hour when we finally ran into a staff who showed us the way back. They really need to work on placing more way to exit signs and benches for kids and older people.
