Whisky and Alement is Melbourne city's longest-running whisky bar, serving an incredible collection of over 500 whiskies. The extensive menu, curated by owners Brooke Hayman and Julian White, is constantly changing and evolving, with ten new whiskies added to the menu weekly.

This cosy bar welcomes everyone from seasoned enthusiasts to those completely new to whisky, and a rotating list of local and international craft beer, cocktails, wines and spirits is also available. The experienced bar team can find the perfect whisky to suit your tastes and budget, and an onsite whisky bottle shop allows guests to try-before-they-buy and take a bottle home.

Located upstairs from Whisky and Alement is a private tasting room. This relaxed, intimate space houses over 80 rare and historic whiskies, taking the overall collection to over 700 whiskies between the two venues. An ongoing partnership with the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) means there are over 70 society whiskies on pour, including one of the largest archives of SMWS whiskies outside Scotland. Whisky classes, group tasting experiences, and weekly events featuring local and international distillers and industry experts are a feature of the Melbourne Whisky Room, making this one of Australia's top destinations for whisky fans.
