⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Gem in Mission Beach! Barra Down Under is an absolute must-visit! Ryan and Tatt are the most amazing hosts who genuinely could not do enough for us during our visit. Their incredible hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. The value for money here is exceptional. A major highlight is that you can even buy a fish you catch for the daily rate and take it home to cook with your family. It enhances the experience even after you have left! If you are heading to Mission Beach, do yourself a favour and book this place. We cannot recommend it highly enough and can't wait to come back!
Had so much fun catching barra this morning. Beautiful views, equipment supplied, and Ryan was so welcoming and helpful. Lovely to see quite a few families gathered around the dams with their little kids all decked out in fishing shirts having an absolutely great time landing fish. What a brilliant way to spend the morning, and finished it off with a nice cold fresh coconut drink. Thanks Ryan and Tatiana 🤩
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an absolute blast at Barra Downunder! Ryan was awesome with my boys, taking the time to explain all the tricks and make it fun for them. They caught about ten 30cm barra, then moved to the other ponds and landed a huge one — the highlight of the day! Such a great experience for the whole family. Highly recommend!
We had a fun time at Barra down under. Ryan was friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were catching fish after fish. My reason for 4 stars is because I think it’s abit overpriced for what it is. I think for $40 an hour, you should at least be able to keep one fish you catch!
This is definitely a place to visit if you love fishing. My son had a blast. He had the most amazing giggles everytime he catch a fish. 😆 It took him half an hour to have his first catch though, feeling a bit disappointed while seeing others catch one. We bought some barra for dinner and kids loved them knowing they took the effort catching them. The host, Ryan, is very friendly and responds quickly through text or call.
