About

Brisbane Nature Tours offers a diverse range of tours in small and personalised groups. Your guide, Anita, is passionate about sharing her extensive knowledge and love for the environment. You will get the chance to connect with the beautiful nature around you and see the natural world differently.

With tours ranging from tropical rainforests to native wildlife habitats, mangrove forests to sand islands, Brisbane Nature Tours has something for every age, taste, and fitness level. All tours include enough time at stopovers to admire and photograph the environment and its unique inhabitants.

Majestic trees, wallabies, and a variety of birdlife are highlights of the Maiala Rainforest Tour. On the North Stradbroke Island Tour, migrating whales can be spotted from June to October, along with dolphins and turtles all year round. The island enjoys spectacular ocean views and has a rich history. It is home to many talented artists.

Brisbane Nature Tours offers the Mount Glorious to Mount Mee Car Tour, featuring short, easy walks to lookouts, making it accessible for less mobile nature lovers. Enjoy being driven in an air-conditioned car, experiencing rainforest-to-open farmland views, and visiting a local winery. The Kangaroos, Mangroves, and Ocean Tour visits the natural habitats of kangaroos, land and sea birds, mangrove forests, and the beach.

Maiala Rainforest Tour

Escape the city and immerse yourself in the cool, subtropical rainforest on this relaxed, small-group tour. Perfect for travellers who enjoy quiet, nature-rich experiences, this journey offers a deep connection to one of the region's most beautiful environments. After pick-up, we travel along the winding road up Mount Glorious, entering the dense rainforest of D'Aguilar National Park. At Maiala, a peaceful 5 km walking track takes you through ancient forest, with towering trees, lush ferns, and a vibrant canopy. Your guide helps you spot and listen for species such as the Whipbird, Catbird, and Wompoo Fruit Dove, while patient observation may reveal skinks, land mullets, lace monitors, or shy pademelons moving quietly through the undergrowth. The walk is taken at a relaxed pace over about three hours, allowing plenty of time for photography, wildlife observation, and absorbing the forest atmosphere. Lunch and refreshments are served in a tranquil picnic area surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, scenic lookouts provide sweeping views across the forested landscape, showcasing the rainforest's diversity. This tour is ideal for slowing down, breathing in the fresh rainforest air, and experiencing the sights, sounds, and subtle details that make this ecosystem so unique.
