Positioned in the height of the city’s skyline, this simply eye-catching building was designed to encapsulate the city’s vast river networks, the defined ridges and mountains that flow through the horizon and the atmosphere that luxury riverside living affords.
Set on the banks of the Brisbane River, Meriton Suites Herschel Street, Brisbane stands at a staggering 262 metres high, built with 74 levels, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in Brisbane. Adjacent to the Roma Street transit hub and parklands, with Queen Street Mall, boutique shopping and restaurants only a stone’s throw away, you will be mesmerised from heights unrivalled.
Brisbane serves up a multitude of sporting venues, stadiums and facilities where major events, concerts and activities are held. Suncorp Stadium is only a short walk from your suite door where you can watch and cheer on your favourite team.
Only a 1.5 kilometre walk away is Brisbane’s premier lifestyle and cultural destination, South Bank. This is 17 hectares of lush parklands, world-class eateries and is home to hundreds of events year round, situated right on the Brisbane River. If you’re visiting Brisbane, you’ll want to find some time to stop by South Bank to enjoy the array of cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants, or go for a swim in Australia’s only inner-city man-made beach, surrounded by white sand and sub-tropical plants.
We caught the air train from the airport to Roma Street Station and it was only a very short walk to the Meriton. Check in was quick and easy with friendly staff. We were given an upgrade to the 67th floor overlooking the Brisbane River. The room was awesome and even though we only had one night we enjoyed the lovely big bath. Was a great place to stay close to the city and an easy walk. Would highly recommend.
We chose this hotel mainly because of its excellent location. The property itself is very nice and the staff were especially friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Parking is available, which is convenient, although it does come at an additional cost. Our room was spacious, very clean and featured a well-equipped kitchen. Even though we only stayed for one night and didn’t make use of it, it had everything you could possibly need. The gym, however, was not particularly inviting and didn’t quite meet the expectations I would have for a hotel of this standard. One small detail we missed was having water in the fridge upon arrival, after a long journey, this would have been a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, with just a few minor areas for improvement.
We had the pleasure of staying here some time ago and were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The room was spotless, well-sized, and equipped with all the amenities one would expect from a quality hotel. From start to finish, the staff were exceptionally professional, friendly, and attentive. We had a few specific requests when booking, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate them, making our stay truly memorable. The breakfast the following morning was excellent and added to the overall positive experience. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend the Meriton Suites to friends and family.
Really beautiful place, nice views and right next to Roma street station. Cafe for brekky and local pub literally 2min walk. Close to the city without all the traffic and hearing all the noise from nightlife. The tv when relaxing before bed kept coming up with "dont have the app to do this" when we weren't selecting anyyhing. Comfy bed with plush pillows
Overall a good stay but a couple of niggles. Up front the staff were efficient, professional and friendly, no issues there. When I booked I asked for a room as high as possible with river views, made it to the 16th floor with a diagonal view of the river only. There was a lot of what I initially thought was dust in the bathroom but turned out to be grey fibres from the carpet outside migrating. Sink would not drain in bathroom, investigation revealed clogged by blond hair (photo). Bath/Shower combo was slippery. Fridge was leaking, called maintenance, still leaked. Maybe someone should address mould in shower tile grout (photo). Kettle was forensically of interest, bought a new one for our coffee. When they say 5 min walk to Queen St Mall from Meriton add another 15 min. Bed Comfy. Pillows were huge. AC welcome.
