Nice stay for a night to see a show at The Convention Centre so a very quick walk. The room was relatively comfortable but a little dated. Nice amenities in the bathroom with extras that could be ordered as well as a comfortable spa bath, robes and slippers. Quiet spot even though it's in town and had a good view. Gifted with wine and included breakfast was very tasty. Parking was a great deal at $12.
My partner and I loved our stay, from walking into our magnificent room. The size of the room and bathroom was perfect. The ned and pillows were so comfortable. The bathroom, double sink and jacuzzi with separate toilet were perfect. The wrap around corner balcony had amazing water views. Housekeeping were attentive and helpful, providing extra coffee pods upon request. Room service was well priced, fast and delicious. My partner and I could not fault our stay and we cannot wait to return! We have already recommended to friends.
Very disappointing experience for a 5-star Pullman hotel. The breakfast was far below what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. The chef served very basic omelettes, and when we politely asked if he could add tomatoes and onions, he bluntly replied, "There is no space in my kitchen." I've never encountered such an unprofessional response at any hotel, let alone a luxury brand. To make matters worse, our booking clearly included breakfast, yet we were told it was only for one person. This should have been communicated clearly at the time of booking or handled much better by the staff instead of creating unnecessary confusion. A 5-star hotel should deliver exceptional service, quality food, and a customer-first attitude. Unfortunately, this experience reflected none of those. The breakfast and the way our concerns were handled were deeply disappointing and fell well below the standards expected from the Pullman brand.
Overall Impression: A solid stay. The service was excellent—the staff were incredibly friendly and were especially great with my child, which we really appreciated. The Room: We stayed on Level 3 and encountered some ants. When we mentioned it to the receptionist, they were very helpful and offered to have the room sprayed and cleaned immediately. However, since we were only staying for a few days and are quite used to the Australian environment, we declined the spray as it wasn't a major issue for us. That said, if you’re new to Queensland, you might prefer a room on a higher floor. Pro-tip: make sure any sweets are sealed tight or kept in the mini-fridge! Suggestion: Adding a drying rack to the room would be a huge plus. Since Cairns is the hub for reef trips and swimming, it would be much easier to manage all the wet gear.
An exceptional stay from start to finish Our experience at the Pullman Cairns International was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The suite was beautifully presented, spacious, and immaculately clean, creating a true sense of comfort and luxury. A special mention to Matthew, the concierge, whose exceptional service elevated our entire stay and made the experience genuinely memorable. Overall, a seamless and high-quality experience—we wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend to others visiting Cairns.
