Q1 Resort and Spa

We had a bad start to our trip today, by being placed in an apartment not quite up to standards and quite unsafe at another complex, after looking around for somewhere else urgently, having 3 children under 7, we found Q1 and inquired. The staff were SO incredibly kind and understanding to our situation, the front clerk and her colleges were so helpful at finding us a room at the last minute, fitting our budget and exceeding our expectations. We are so grateful for everything they did to help. Cannot recommend enough. ❤️

Hotel was under going renovation to their check in area so was a bit confusing as you had to go through a small entrance to catch a lift to the 2nd level. Only 1 lift so there was a bit of a wait. Apart from that hotel is nice ,the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Close walk to Cavill ave and restaurant. Will stay here again.

An exceptional stay from start to finish. The host truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was comfortable, seamless, and memorable—it made a real difference. The apartment itself is beautifully presented, with a classy, well-thought-out design. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout is perfect, offering both space and privacy. Everything was spotless and maintained to a very high standard. To top it off, the views were absolutely stunning, easily one of the highlights of the stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and well-hosted experience.

Our recent visit to Q1 Resort & Spa on the Gold Coast was primarily motivated by its prime location and our objective to provide my fiancé with an exceptional inaugural interstate holiday experience. Overall, our 7 night stay was pleasant. The apartment was partially maintained, comfortable, and afforded breathtaking panoramic vistas of the coastline, resort, and hinterlands. The outdoor and indoor aquatic facilities, including the spa and sauna, also provided excellent value. The location stands out as one of Q1's most significant advantages. Positioned merely one tram stop from the vibrant center of Surfers Paradise, it offered unparalleled convenience for accessing local attractions, dining establishments, and retail outlets, whether by foot, public transportation, or shared mobility services such as Lime bikes. The resort offers several convenient dining and retail options, including Longboards Restaurant, Osaka Kaiten Sushi Train, and the Q1 Convenience store. These on-site facilities proved highly beneficial for dining and acquiring daily necessities such as milk, bread, eggs, beverages, and snacks, despite being somewhat expensive. Room 1604, while generally comfortable, exhibited several maintenance and aesthetic deficiencies. These included a malfunctioning blind cord, missing wall plaster, a shower shelf detaching from the wall, and a loose, damaged shower head requiring manual adjustment during use. The refrigerator, the small television, and some other furnishings appeared worn, which was rather incongruous for a resort of this caliber. The Wi-Fi connectivity demonstrated legacy dial-up speeds, rendering it impractical for use for us Gamers. Service was generally acceptable, though some inconsistencies were noted. Upon arrival, we were not informed about the breakfast option available at the Q1 Deck, nor were we advised that pool towels could be obtained from reception. We only became aware of these amenities through discussions with other guests. Furthermore, some reception staff appeared disengaged, indifferent, and lacked enthusiasm in their interactions. In conclusion, Q1 remains an iconic Gold Coast destination; however, the property is exhibiting signs of aging and would benefit significantly from a comprehensive maintenance program, room renovations + decor updates, and facility enhancements.
