About
Learn how to paraglide and hang glide in Queensland with Australia's most experienced female instructor and her experienced team. They provide tandem hang gliding and paragliding flights on the Gold Coast. If you want more and have the time, they also offer paragliding and hang gliding day courses right through to full pilot license courses.
They operate in Canungra, Beechmont and Mount Tamborine in the lovely hinterland of the Gold Coast in South East Queensland. The team prides itself on the quality of instruction and its high safety standards. You will not find a tandem operator or school more passionate about flying and passing on their knowledge and skills.
Oz Paragliding and Hang Gliding Training Facility is approved by the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia. The Facility is supervised and owned by HGFA-certified Chief Flight Instructor Lisa Bradley.

Tandem Paragliding
Picture yourself gracefully gliding above the scenic mountains of the Gold Coast. The scenic flights are a unique life experience. Passengers will never forget flying above the Gold Coast hinterland. All it takes is a few steps and you are airborne, sitting comfortably in your chair-style harness, enjoying the world from a birds-eye view. Your SAFA tandem instructor will guide and teach you how to fly. Your flight will be conducted from Tamborine and Beechmont, depending on the winds. Must be at least 10 years old. Weight 95 kilograms maximum. Flight time 8 to 20 minutes.
Tandem Hang Gliding
Tandem Hang gliding over the Gold Coast hinterland, see the world from a different angle. Tick it off the bucket list. Soar like an eagle and see the world from a birds-eye view. Fly with a certified hang gliding instructor. All tandem hang gliding flights are towed to altitude by a specially designed ultralight aircraft. It is the best way to get get in the sky with the highest level of safety. It is cutting-edge technology. They are the only company in Queensland, Australia to offer this. They can also take you higher and keep you up for longer than any company in Queensland. Ask your pilot about upgrading to a higher altitude flight or inflight photos and videos. You get towed to 2500 feet. Must be at least 10 years old. Weight 130 kilograms maximum. Flight time 15 to 20 minutes.
Learn to Fly - Paragliding 2 Day Course
A two-day lesson is a great way to give paragliding a go and see if this is the sport for you. They will cover equipment, launch techniques, pre-flight checks and basic flying skills. You will fly solo when you and your instructor thinks it's appropriate! Your day lesson begins with an equipment introduction and demonstration. You learn how to set the glider up. Then you will learn to launch and ground handle the paraglider on gentle slopes close to the ground. They practice inflating and controlling the wing on the ground, learning the launch sequence, and discussing the landing, and steering skills before introducing the element of flight. Confidence will often grow at this point and you may surprise yourself with how quickly you are progressing. In the afternoon, look forward to solo flights from gentle training hills. Depending on your skills, confidence and the conditions, your instructor will give you the option to fly higher from the training slopes. Day two you will be flying from a 20-meter training hill, This is what this course is about, you become the pilot. Now is your time to learn to fly so stop dreaming and start living it!
