Best coffee and scones. The cafe is excellent and has a great view. The rooms are nice enough. The views from the rooms are great. Lovely pool area. Staff are all helpful and friendly. Not super fussed on the selection of restaurants. Parking is always inadequate. Getting a little expensive lately.
A nice place for staying while visiting Gold Coast. Really nice atmosphere overall. But did see some issues when it came to rooms. Firstly, they provide a couple of free water bottles, only once per check in. So for people like us who stayed multiple nights (4 in our case), they want to save cents in those water bottles, while also not needing to do complete clean-up of rooms which would have been needed for guests staying just a single night. Don't know how they justify the meagre savings at the expense of better customer satisfaction. Rooms were not very clean with dust built up even on the phone. Once they failed to clean the room despite us being out for the whole morning and wanted to do it in the afternoon. And then they left their cleaning stuff in the room while rushing through a shoddy job of cleaning up. However, generally the staff was really friendly and the food was great. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory and we did manage to do it 4 days in a row without much issues as to variety. We also tried out one of their other restaurants which was excellent both in terms of food and service. (Bit pricey, but understandable given the atmosphere) The pool was also large enough so that despite many people present, it didn't felt too crowded.
When we checked in, all was great, Champayne on arrival, friendly service. The Superior King Room had a great view. No much adult entertainment at all, the main bar is closed during the week which was a disappointment. The breakfast was lovely. However, on our 2nd last day, we had placed a DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door, we left valuables laying around on the understanding that staff would not enter our room, BUT THEY DID, whilst we were out. Long story short, we have had some finalization and a sincere apology from the Manager on this matter but This incident was a breach on our privacy and unauthorized access into our room. Our stay was ruined and we have lost some trust in RACQ Accommodation. Very sad indeed.
My room was fine, though I would have appreciated a bathtub and a bit more space. The staff were friendly, which made a difference. The facilities were good overall, but there's definitely scope for some upgrades. The location itself was quite convenient for my needs. 😊
Stayed for two nights. Great location central to just about everything on the Gold Coast. Staff were very friendly and respectful to all of my needs. It is Family friendly venue with multiple areas for all of the entertainment needs. Only faults were very minor with some features needed to be updated to reflect the modern day standards such as power points with USB connections and areas within the pool needing maintenance. Otherwise I will happily chose this resort when planning to go back to the Gold Coast.
