Saltwater Eco Tours

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of our first date on a Brisbane river cruise, my wife and I booked a Two Hour Sunset Cruise with Live Music, around the Mooloolaba canals, through Saltwater Eco Tours. We could not have been happier with the experience. Captain Daniel, Hostess Gabby and Musician Aaron were friendly, welcoming, and good humoured. The scenery was interesting and beautiful, the open air ride very cruisy, the music appropriate and atmospheric. After the complimentary welcoming drink, we accompanied the beautifully-assembled and quite substantial complimentary grazing box at the cruise's halfway mark with a cocktail from the bar. We highly recommend the Drunken Sailor and Lemon Myrtle G&T. Overall, the cruise was awesome value for money, and exactly the romantic cruising experience we were after for our anniversary.

What a perfect way to end the day?! Everyone on board was really lovely, the music was chill and really set the mood for this lazy, relaxed and beautiful cruise. We loved the food pack and was great to accompany with drinks onboard. So glad we did this and highly recommend.

I did the sunset cruise with live music through Saltwater Eco Tours and honestly didn’t expect it to be this good. It is such a relaxed way to see Mooloolaba. The boat has a really nice feel to it, not crowded or overly touristy, and cruising through the canals at sunset was genuinely beautiful. The colours over the water were amazing. The live music really made the experience. It was good acoustic music that fit the setting perfectly without being too loud, so you could still talk, have a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. The crew were friendly and easygoing which made it feel more like a local experience rather than a typical tour. You can tell they care about what they do. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sunset cruise in Mooloolaba, especially if you want something laid back with live music instead of a party style cruise. It would be great for couples or even just a chilled afternoon with friends. Definitely one of the better things to do on the Sunshine Coast.

Our day out with Captain Simon and his exceptional crew was easily the highlight of our trip to the Sunshine Coast. From the moment we stepped onto the dock, we were met with such a warm, genuine welcome that we knew we were in for a treat. The boat itself is absolutely stunning meticulously maintained, spacious, and the perfect vessel for a day on the water. It wasn’t just a boat ride, though; it was a full scale experience. The crew went above and beyond to provide top tier hospitality and entertainment, and their passion for what they do really shines through. We actually walked away having learned a lot about the local area, which was a fantastic and unexpected bonus! I also have to give a special shout out to the bar program. My absolute favorite part of the trip was the native botanical infused cocktails. They were unique, refreshing, and used local ingredients that perfectly captured the spirit of the coast. It’s those small, thoughtful details that set this experience apart from your standard boat tour. If you are visiting the Sunny Coast, do yourself a favor and book a spot with this team.
