Sunreef is the only PADI 5 Star Dive Center on the Sunshine Coast and the largest marine tourism operator in South East Queensland. It's easy to see why this dive center is so popular with experiences like diving on the Ex-HMAS Brisbane (Australia's best military wreck dive) and beautiful local reefs as well as Scuba Diving Courses from Introductory through to Instructor Development.
During winter they offer incredible Whale Watching and even Swim with Whales Experiences that everyone can enjoy! Looking to their hire department Sunreef offers Ocean Jet Ski Experience, as well as kayaks, stand up paddle boards, boats and bikes.

Australia's First Swim with Humpback Whale Encounters
The opportunity to swim with a Humpback Whale is a rare and very special one, and Sunreef Mooloolaba was Australia’s first operator to offer the experience, launching in 2014. It's a very special breathtaking experience that will leave you with a true sense of wonder about these amazing mammals. The experienced Sunreef crew will find and trail along at a safe distance from the whales to allow them to get used to the sound of the engines. Then, after assessing the whales' behaviour, they will move ahead of the whales. If conditions are right, they will then put the boat into neutral and allow guests to slide into the water with a Sunreef guides. Then its up to the whales - its a natural experience and 100 per cent on the whales’ own terms. They seem as intrigued by people as people are of them and often swim over and around for a closer look, gliding gently and effortlessly around you. Operates from July to October each year. Whale Watching
The humpback whale migration is one of the most magnificent natural encounters you can have. You can feel the excitement all around as you look along the horizon for the first blow or splash from these gentle giants. These amazing animals can sense you near them and curiously swim up to see your excitement - get up close to experience their breathtaking beaches, loud tail and pec slaps, tail lobs, spy hops and performing their classic peduncle throws! Flinders Reef Scuba Diving
Flinders Reef is one of the most beautiful dive sites in Queensland. Hailed by divers and snorkellers alike for its pristine conditions and stunning visibility year round. Flinders Reef is known for the abundance of different species of turtles, which inhabit the entire reef system. If beautiful coral reefs are your idea of the perfect dive, look no further. It has the highest number of coral species of any sub tropical reef system along Australia's East Coast. Swim throughs and pinnacles are scattered throughout this reef with something new to discover each time. Jet Ski Hire
Ready to have some wet and wild fun? Sunreef Hire Mooloolaba ocean jet ski hire is the largest and fastest jet skiing experience on the Sunshine Coast. Wreck Dive on the HMAS Brisbane
Immerse Yourself in Australia's best Military Wreck Dive! Suitable for all levels of certified divers! The HMAS Brisbane was a Perth-class guided-missile destroyer that served in the Royal Australian Navy from 1967 to 2001. She was decommissioned and sunk as an artificial reef in 2005. Today, the HMAS Brisbane is a popular diving destination, offering divers a unique opportunity to explore a piece of Australian naval history. The HMAS Brisbane is located in 27 meters of water just 15 minutes off the coast of Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. The wreck is in good condition and is home to a variety of marine life including large schools of fish, trevally and bait fish, along with resident bull and eagle rays, large Queensland grouper, crayfish, and octopus. Sunreef Mooloolaba's experienced crew will take you out to the wreck and provide you with all the equipment and training you need to have a safe and enjoyable dive. Water temperature ranges from 18 degrees in winter to 27 degrees in summer and visibility from 10 metres to 30 metres. Snorkel With Turtles
Mudjimba Island, also known locally as Old Woman Island, is located just a 10 minute boat ride from the coast and is home to a sheltered reef and turtles sanctuary which is perfect for snorkelling or diving. The site is home to some great corals and a vast range of sea life from a variety of nunibranch to crayfish, wobbegong sharks, cowrie shells, rays and of course everyones favourite gree sea turtles Trip Inclusions: Boat charter, expert in water guides and wetsuit, mask, fins, and snorkel is included.

This was honestly a 10/10 experience on all fronts. Firstly, the crew was so thorough and explained everything so well. We got so much information on board about the whales, what to expect and what to look for. Safety was their top priority and loved that 2 of the staff divers were in the water with us as well as extra staff on the boat. The ride out was amazing, we got to assist with whale spotting and then jumped in to spot the humpback, although our encounter was brief as the whale moved away, it was still an incredible experience and would definitely go with this company again. Thanks for an amazing day guys.

Grandparents and two grandsons hired a tinny from Sunreef to take a 2 hour trip around the canals of Mooloolaba. We all had a great time. The equipment provided was well kept and in great working order and the pre trip information was exactly what was required. It was interesting getting a close look at the fishing fleet and seeing our much loved local area from the water rather than the land. We took our own food and drink and had a boat picnic. We will definitely do this trip again. Thank you Sunreef.

Magical experience for my teenagers and I whale watching on Whale One with the Sunreef crew. We were lucky enough to see many whales breaching and fin and fluke slapping, and we saw a mother and calf very close - we felt so lucky and will never forget the experience. We were right at the bow which I think made for the best viewing experience, but you did need to be confident and steady on your feet. There are lots of options to be seated, but most people stand up when the whales are spotted.Recommend getting the USB photo package - these photos are just screenshots from videos I took, but the professional shots are well worth the $30!

Highly recommend joining the crew at Sunreef Mooloolaba for a dive. I was guided by Emily who was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but you can tell the whole crew love what they do and love sharing the excitement and positivity with anyone along for the ride. Diving to the Ex-HMS Brisbane wreck, we were fortunate enough to get a day with fantastic visibility and lots of marine life on display.

We recently went diving with Sunreef on the ex HMAS Brisbane wreck and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The crew were professional, friendly, and very well organised, making the whole day relaxed and enjoyable. Although the visibility wasn't great on the day, the dive itself was fantastic — the ex HMAS Brisbane is an incredible site with amazing marine life and plenty to explore. The team made us feel safe and well looked after both in and out of the water. Highly recommend Sunreef for anyone looking to dive the wreck or experience diving on the Sunshine Coast. We’ll definitely be back!
