Not a great stay at the Motel. The room was OK but in our room the WiFi didn’t work so we were reliant on going elsewhere with WiFi. It also wasn’t very clean, our sheets were stained and the ceiling fan was incredibly dusty. The motel in general is very dated and doesn’t look as modern or tidy as the advertised photos. You are a 20+ min walk to the main restaurants, markets, lagoon etc. There was also some construction work happening which meant loud construction work at 8am in the morning.
Unprofessional and unwelcoming rude management who are also physically aggressive, Dirty, disgusting unkept and unclean rooms, worst service I’ve ever received in a motel and Complete breach of privacy. Do not stay unless you want fungal infections, ringworm from all the surfaces not being cleaned and sanitised regularly! Surprised health and safety have not closed this place down. Furriest vents in bathrooms, aircon full of mould, everything old, fridge freezes every bit of food. Just terrible- avoid at all costs and save yourself the $$ for a nicer hotel which you will get met with a smile on your face when greeted, regular room service, no ringworm and breaches of your privacy ! Oh and I forgot to mention the room locks don’t work and even if they do- the staff break them without due reason. Just to come and be a pry but can’t fix or maintain their rooms cleanliness or mould issues
I didn't enjoy my stay here. The area is convenient to the town centre but also seems to have a few vagrants who had the of yelling match at night. The rooms are old and poorly maintained though the sheets etc were clean when i arrived. The kitchenette had a mish mash of utensils. Various lights were out, there was an iron stain on the carpet and there were numerous bits of damage around the room. Staff there help only when prodded repeatedly and you get the impression you are a problem and not a customer. I had an issue with payment that took three weeks to refund my money, despite assuring me it would be refunded within the week. They gave me no information about what the delay was and did not respond consistently to my emails. I was eventually refunded but really had no idea it would happen because of the poor communication. Do not recommend.
Extremely poor communication and aggressive behaviour from staff. We flew back from overseas on an overnight flight, arriving at 4am. I made this very clear via the booking message system because we required a late after-hours check-in, for somewhere to spend 5 hours whilst waiting for our connecting flight. Despite this, we were repeatedly sent automated messages stating that early check-in was not possible.. something we never even asked for. The messages were irrelevant and confusing, and staff later told me to just disregard them. If they aren’t applicable, they shouldn’t be sent. I asked twice about using the hotel shuttle back to the airport. The first request was ignored entirely. The second time, I was told to make my own way because our flight was outside their shuttle hours, despite our flight being at 12pm and their last shuttle running at 10am. This felt rigid and unhelpful given the circumstances. They then tried to tell me they had no knowledge of my requesting a shuttle, even after sending them screenshots of both messages. I was advised I would receive a code to access a lockbox containing our room key after payment had been received. Payment had been made two weeks earlier, yet no code was sent. Ten minutes before take-off back to Australia, I had friends in Queensland calling the hotel to chase the code. Had we not done this, I am confident we would have arrived at 4am with no way to access our room and nobody to contact since it’s outside of their hours. There’s no circumstance where access information should be left until 9pm the night of check-in, especially when the person receiving the information will be in transit. When I went to return the key in the morning, I was verbally confronted by a staff member. This escalated to both her and a man I assume is her husband following me down the hallway yelling. This behaviour was completely unacceptable. I expect the owners will respond and attempt to spin this to suit their narrative, but I encourage anyone reading this to look at the other reviews.. there is a clear pattern. I have worked in customer service for 30 years and would never treat customers this way. Oh and the back gate you have to go through for after hours access smells like urine.
