I have just finished hiking in Sardegna and Corsica with our guides Gillies and Olivier and 9 others in our group. How stunning are these 2 islands. There were some challenging walks but well worth it for the sceneries that took our breath away. The hotels and food were excellent and I look forward to another wonderful adventure with Walkabout Gourmet Adventures.
The spring Spirit of Japan Walkabout Gourmet Adventures tour recently completed was wonderful, even better than we had expected. Our guide, Pepijn, was a fountain of knowledge about Japanese culture, history, their food and the places we visited. The selection of accommodation where we stayed was very good with a variety of Western style and Japanese traditional accommodation. While the train system in Japan is amazing, the crowded stations can be challenging but Pepijn guided us through the many stations with ease. The walks chosen were excellent, a variety of distances and climbs and met our expectations. Definitely will be recommending this walk to our friends and family
What a wonderful trip. stunning scenery, easy & enjoyable walking, charming & friendly accommodation & hosts, experienced and amenable guides. Thoroughly enjoyable, and the boat trip up the Wallagaurah River an absolute highlight. Many thanks to all!
We live in America where few walking tours in Norway are available. However, two long time Aussie friends who did a few tours with Walkabout Gourmet highly recommended to us to join this trip. So we did. Graeme who is an owner, guide and a driver has a very extensive knowledge of the country and the area we visited. He even knows where we can have a good Softis(soft ice cream) . Fun! All walkings were moderate, so everyone could enjoy walkings and appreciate stunning sceneries. All hotels were comfortable with delicious evening meals and generous breakfast. We were very lucky with the weather and everything went very smoothly. We had a wonderful time!
We very much enjoyed our recent Spirit of Japan tour with our great guuide Pepijn whose knowledge of Japan and it's history was amazing. He was also a well organised and helpfull leader. The walks were exceptional as was the food, accomodation and efficient train travel. We were very fortunate to enjoy a small group of very friendly travellers. The autumn colours were stunning.
