OMG didn’t know that the National archives was a “thing” met their DG over breakfast yesterday and thought I would take a look. The Holden exhibit was way cool! BUT as a bit of a geek found the interactive wall fascinating. Kudos to the superb front of house staff each of you were welcoming enthusiastically interacting KNOWLEDGEABLE and really made the visit so much more than a wonder through displays THANK YOU! Now Simon don’t forget the breakfast challenge - how do we provide skills to all of us on working out what information is real and what is FAKE. Thanks to the team highly recommend this to anyone visiting our capital city.

A fascinating and neatly presented glimpse into Australia's history. The free exhibitions are thoughtfully curated and well-balanced. One highlight was the huge interactive touchscreens that let you explore historical photos with descriptions (video). The space itself is well laid out, peaceful, and easy to navigate, making it a great place to spend a quiet hour. The cafe has the standard cafe food and has a pretty neat and relaxing space within the building. Outdoor parking spaces next to the entrance via Wilson Parking.

We visited this place and found the displays interesting. There are 3 display rooms on the ground floor. The building architecture is also historic and the wood flooring is very nice. There are also a cafe and small souvenir shop here. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

At the time of review, the NAA was showing the Australian Geographic - Nature Photographer of the Year which showed Mother Nature at her finest and definitely worth a visit. There are 2 permanent exhibitions Voices and Connections, both really interesting so take some time and explore. You will definitely learn more about Australia’s past. If visiting on the weekend, there is free parking next door.
