Blue Tree Gallery is a contemporary art gallery, built from an old shipping container at Moina, with a focus on mental well-being and emotion, raising awareness for mental illness through a visual arts practice, normalising vulnerability, whilst also showcasing many artisan gifts and souvenirs all made right here in Tasmania. "Come for the Art Stay for the Coffee". Enjoy a takeaway coffee while walking through the gallery.
At Blue Tree Gallery, they believe in creating a space that celebrates local artistry and fosters an environment of serenity and mindfulness. They are dedicated to providing a platform that promotes mental well-being through artistic expression and dialogue. In essence, our gallery serves as a space where individuals can connect with the powerful emotions held within art.
We stumbled across Blue Tree Gallery while driving through Moina on our way to Cradle Mountain. The unique shipping-container-style café immediately caught our attention, so we decided to stop in and have a look. The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming and passionate about what she does. The café has a warm, relaxed atmosphere and feels like one of those hidden gems you’re lucky to discover while travelling around Tasmania. As a coffee lover, I was especially impressed by the coffee. In my opinion, they use some of the best coffee beans in Tasmania, and the quality of the brew was outstanding. Great coffee, great service, and a genuinely memorable experience. We’ll definitely stop by again next time we’re passing through. Highly recommended! ☕️🌿😊
Such a cute little place to visit on the way back from cradle mountain, a hidden gem if I do say so myself. The local art was phenomenal, as was the coffee and the scenery, and I picked up some great little stickers for an amazing price. The owner has a cute little tiktok page too, which is how we found the place, and we had a really great time talking to her while we looked at the art and sipped our coffee. 💕 Highly recommend ☕
Lovely pieces from local Tasmanian artists, great coffee and a genuine chat! Aimee, thank you for creating such a lovely space for anyone to pause and take a moment. It was a wonderful treat from our morning of driving.
Go for the coffee and local artist creations, stay for the chat and the surrounds. We stumbled across this converted shipping container on our way through to cradle. Coffee and hot chocolate were great. Artist Aimee had some beautiful work available for sale and also displayed a selection of additional local handiwork. All local, all unique, all quality. Fantastic gift ideas. Lovely area to sit outside amongst the dead straight gum trees, and you’re bound to strike up a conversation with a local. Was a safe place for our toddler to explore. So good, we went back the next day. Hope to be back again some day soon! Thanks for creating a calm, welcoming space for us to enjoy.
Such a beautiful surprise on our way to Cradle Mountain. One of the nicest galleries I’ve visited in Tasmania. As an artist, I found it truly inspiring to see quality work exhibited in a beautiful spot like this one. + the coffee was delicious
