The Hillwood Rock Climbing Area is arguably the best sport climbing crag in Tasmania. There are over 150 routes of excellent quality, with unrivalled accessibility.

The highly featured rock is a change from the vertical dolerite found elsewhere around northern Tasmania and the cliffs face all directions making it climbable most of the year.

The climbing is very unique with a huge range of holds formed as part of the Basalt Rock. Grade options for all levels of climbers.
