Lavender House Perfumery is nestled in the beautiful Tamar River Valley at Rowella, on the Tamar Valley Wine Route.
The Perfumery is Tasmania's only working perfumery. Established for thirty years, it is a niche and unique business that manufactures world class natural lavender, and rose products including perfumes, skin and body care, therapeutic and aromatherapy products, home care and gourmet teas, inspired by the love of lavender, roses, herbs and essential oils.
The gardens are packed with premium lavender, French heirloom and Turkish roses and other botanicals that are grown using organic and sustainable farming methods. These are harvested, dried, distilled and used throughout the product range.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens, sample the extensive range of premium products, and chat with them about the products, perfumes and plants.
Visitors can smell the different lavender cultivars, roses and herbs in season and view scent extraction methods, including enfleurage, drying and distillation in the beautiful Turkish Copper Stills.
Lavender House Perfumery is located at Rowella, a 35 minute drive north of Launceston. It is close to Beaconsfield, Beauty Point, Hillwood, and the Batman Bridge and is an easy round trip from Launceston seeing both sides of the scenic Tamar River.

You can't take beautiful photos here like the touristic lavender farm, but their lavender products is really exceptional and very useful! Grandpa used to work in chemistry engineering, and the couple also seriously researched and developed the two hybrids of French varieties and British varieties. They really research and work wholeheartedly for their lavenders! They have also developed rose cream recently. The roses used are really fragrant! I love their horse rub the most, very effective for my nerve pain and many more benefits! Be sure to visit them! Stunning garden and perfumery. You can smell the lavender from the garden and inside the perfumery, just gorgeous. So many genuine, creative and innovative products, highlighting Tasmanian made items. We met the talented and super friendly owner. He is so helpful and full of amazing ideas and stories. Highly recommended to visiy and try various items. Amazing products!

Brilliant place with authentic lavender products. Must visit and shop. Support local farmers as well. They have online too. Lovely lady who explained the process and products. 💕💕Tip. Road may look bad, keep driving for parking and camper vans can go in too. Just watch out for mud just in case of rain.

Map- don’t go to Lavender House. Google has this wrong. The location for this is correct. Signage has been removed by council during road upgrades but slowly coming back. Denise was lovely, and Ollie the dog greeted us well. The farm is ramping up again after Covid, with many varied assortments of Lavender growing. The oil extraction operation was interesting to learn of, with a large amount of Lavender products on offer to try and buy. Overall, lovely time here learning about Lavender and the benefits, as well as sampling and purchasing some great products 👍🤓
