On this half-day, Mount Wellington's exploration goes way beyond a passing glance. This tour drives you to classic Cascade Gardens with its rich history, resilient snow gum forest, diverse rock formations and incredible panoramic views. Stopping at six sites for an enriched experience.

Start with a 25-minute scenic drive to the Chalet before walking the easy-graded Organ Pipes Track (90 minutes). Take in the towering cliffs, snow gums and panoramic views of Hobart and surrounds. Joining you will be a local guide with a university-level understanding of the mountain who knew the early hiking pioneers and can tell their stories. Then it’s time to drive to the summit. On arrival at the mountain top, there is a 35-minute walk and scramble onto the trig point, an easy stroll to lookouts for amazing views of much of Tasmania. Also, have a close up look at the unique alpine vegetation and geology. Then more remarkable views on the 35-minute drive back to Hobart.

Go in a small group (max 10) to discover the mountain from its base to the Pinnacle and back in two hours. See and hear its history, plants, geology and incredible stories. See amazing scenery on the way up the mountain, then get 30 minutes viewing time on the summit. You will be looked after by your local tour guide David , who is seasoned in local knowledge and can make the place come alive with stories. Book now to avoid disappointment.
