About

Codling Moth Tours and Experiences offer immersive hosted walking tours and self-guided mystery quests in the heart of the Blackwood region in Western Australia. Founded by seasoned storytellers and adventurers, the company crafts rich, historic and social experiences that bring local heritage and produce to life.

Guided walking tours—including the Occidental Cider Trek, the Small Bar Walking Tour and Bridgetown by Foot—offer engaging, small-group experiences that uncover Bridgetown's heritage architecture, cider-making traditions and the region's lush, rolling landscapes. Each tour blends local stories, insider knowledge and leisurely exploration, giving visitors a deeper connection to the character and charm of the Blackwood region.

Their signature quests, such as The Case of the Crimson Cider in Bridgetown or The Enigma of Sample 23 in Greenbushes, combine elements of escape rooms, treasure hunts and walking tours using the ClueKeeper app. Guests navigate geo-cached trails, solve clever clues, and uncover hidden stories about cider-making empires, mining history and neighbouring towns.

With local insight, playful storytelling and interactive challenges, Codling Moth makes discovering the region feel like stepping into a living storybook.

The Occidental Cider Trek

The Occidental Cider Trek

Take a Stroll, Sip Some Cider, and Fall for Bridgetown. Kick off your Bridgetown adventure the right way — with coffee and cake at Wattleseed Café, because every good story starts with caffeine and sugar. From there, we'll wander the most historic 2.5 kilometres in the South West, winding through Bridgetown's historic heart and tracing its transformation from orchard town to creative haven. Along the way, you'll hear stories of growth, graft, and a touch of metamorphosis — fitting for a tour company named after the codling moth, a tiny creature that changed the course of local history (or did it?). We'll finish up at The Cidery, where the drinks are crisp, the lunch is local, and the company's as good as the view. A laid-back blend of storytelling, strolling, and sipping — pure Bridgetown magic, done the Codling Moth way.
