Sunnyhurst Winery

Sunnyhurst Winery is a family-owned, award-winning boutique winery in WA's Blackwood Valley. No appointments required, just walk in.

Sunnyhurst's two-hectare, non-irrigated vineyard produces Burgundy-style grapes, which are hand-harvested and crafted in small batches using traditional methods. All wines are produced in-house by the owners and every stage is carefully overseen, from vine to cellar door.

Sunnyhurst Winery offers varieties including Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, along with selected varieties purchased from the Blackwood Valley such as Viognier, Shiraz and Tempranillo. The vineyard avoids pesticides and herbicides, with minimal under-vine management.

Sunnyhurst's cellar door is personally hosted by the winemaker and owner in a welcoming setting. Guests can enjoy tastings while learning more about the winemaking process. Children are kept entertained with a grass tennis court, a swing and a trampoline. Dogs are welcome to join you on the back veranda while you taste the wines.

A 120-year-old Moreton Bay fig tree is a striking feature of the property and provides the perfect shady spot for a relaxed picnic. Bring your own nibbles and settle in for a peaceful visit. Enjoy a wine tasting before or after your picnic. Spend quality time with friends or family in a private, tranquil setting.
