Came here after visiting the sand dunes. We tried the seafood platter and the fish and chips. 🦞 was juicy and tasty. Prawns and oysters were nice too. Battered fish was thick and flaky. 🍟 was 👍 too. Unfortunately, the 🐙 was pickled and was too sour for us. We preferred grilled to preserve the umami. This is a good place to recharge on the way to Kalbarri. The decor is like a beach house. Indoors is better because there were a lot of seagulls watching the food. Lots of tourists and families getting a taste of seafood here. Service is average.
This was honestly one of the best lobster experiences of our lives—and we say this as proper seafood lovers who have eaten a LOT of lobster over the years. Everything about Lobster Shack was incredible from start to finish. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and super approachable, always ready with food and drink recommendations. They were also impressively proactive about keeping the seagulls away, which made the whole dining experience by the water much more enjoyable. We went all in with the jumbo lobster (around 2.4kg), and it was absolutely insane in size—the regular lobsters genuinely looked tiny beside it. The lobster meat itself was so fresh, tender, and naturally sweet, with no fishy taste at all. It was simply cooked with butter and seasoning, and it honestly didn’t need anything else. We also had half a dozen natural oysters, half a dozen Kilpatrick oysters, and a bucket of prawns, and every single thing was ridiculously good. Fresh, juicy, and full of flavour. Everything was so good that we kept looking at each other like “this is actually insane.” The only regret? Not having more stomach space. After this meal, it’s going to be very hard for any other lobster place to compare—Lobster Shack has set the bar way too high.
Had a lovely lunch at Lobster Shack 🦞 It had been a while since our last visit, and we were so surprised by the beautiful renovation — the whole place feels fresh, relaxed, and perfect for a coastal lunch. We also shared a lobster, and it was absolutely delicious. The seafood chowder and calamari were still just as good as we remembered, and the ocean view made everything even better. Such a lovely spot to slow down, enjoy fresh seafood, and soak in the beach vibes ✨
Fantastic location and excellent food. Shared a seafood platter for two with the upgrade to whole lobster. The lobster (with separate bowls of garlic sauce & mornay sauce) was sweet and fresh, and the seafood chowder was amazing. Best seafood platter I’ve ever eaten. Was cheaper than an equivalent platter on the Australian east coast. The only food left on the platter was a little bit of salad & half a dozen chips. The only let down was a rude waitperson who fobbed us off on arrival and refused to even show us to our table. Highly recommend The Lobster Shack for its excellent food and location.
This place is just absolutely amazing and possibly even perfect. The food here is expectational even though the price was pretty expensive it was still definitely worth it and the service was actually super good as all the staff really nice kind and they will really passionate about their job. The atmosphere is great as there is ocean in the background and the lobster was absolutely delicious. There were so many things to choose from and it was just so delicious. Definitely recommend and if you come to savantis you have to try this this is like basically the best thing in all of cement you have to come here there's also a playground out there there's a lot of seating unavailable with not really much of a wait and it is definitely worth to come.
