Welcome to Stargazer’s Retreat Tucked away at the quiet edge of the Swan Valley, Stargazer’s Retreat is a private bush retreat where the lights fall away, the sky opens up and the kangaroos become your neighbours. This is one of those rare pockets that feels genuinely removed, where nights are dark, the air is still, and kangaroos move through the property at dusk and dawn. Set on a large rural block in Herne Hill, the camp looks out over open bushland with minimal noise. During the day it’s peaceful and expansive; at night, the stars are the main event. On clear evenings the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye, and the silence is broken only by insects and distant wildlife. This is a place to slow down. Bring a chair, light a small fire (season permitting), cook simply, and watch the sky change. It’s ideal for couples, solo travellers, photographers, stargazers, or anyone needing a reset away from crowds, traffic, and screens.
