About

Mitu Wines is an Indigenous owned wine label from Margaret River, Western Australia. Mitu means me and you.

Alongside the wine, Mitu runs the Weave and Wine Workshop, a four-hour weaving and wine day held on a permaculture farm five kilometers from the Margaret River town center, on Wadandi Boodja.

Guests begin with a walk through the gardens to learn about the wild fibers growing there. Two unhurried hours of weaving follow at a long table, with instruction from an experienced weaver. Lunch is a shared seasonal spread built from the farm's own gardens, with Indigenous inspired dishes. The Mitu range is then poured and talked through at the table by the founder.

Everyone goes home with the basket they made and the techniques to keep weaving. No experience is needed and there is nothing to bring.

The Weave and Wine Workshop suits couples, friends travelling together, solo travellers and small teams. Groups are kept small, so the table stays unhurried and everyone is taught by hand.

Adults only. Private bookings available midweek. Bookings essential.
