About

Truganina Park is one of Melbourne's west's most distinctive open space destinations, offering panoramic views across Melbourne, Port Phillip Bay and the surrounding wetlands.

The park is home to the iconic 100 Steps to Federation, a staircase constructed from recycled basalt that leads visitors to one of the highest natural vantage points between Melbourne and the You Yangs. At the summit, visitors are rewarded with sweeping views across the region and can discover Time Beacon, a striking public artwork by Australian artist Cameron Robbins.

Large open spaces, walking and cycling paths, and connections to surrounding coastal parklands make Truganina Park a popular destination for recreation, sightseeing and outdoor exploration. The park's elevated location and unique landscape provide a memorable experience for visitors seeking nature, photography opportunities and some of the best views in Hobsons Bay.
