Red Dog Brewery in Rural View, Out at Mackay's Northern Beaches, is where the magic happens. This is the heart of Mackay's own independent craft brewery, where a crew of local mates brews every beer from scratch with one goal: to give the region something more flavourful than the usual lager.

Step inside the relaxed café and bar, then head out to the walled beer garden. It's a laid-back spot to settle in with friends, family or a few workmates after knock-off. On tap you'll find the full Red Dog range of ales, lagers and porters inspired by brewing traditions from Europe, the UK, America and the Pacific. Can't decide? A tasting paddle is the best way to explore the line-up.
