This is a long, wild and natural beach walk in the Eurobodalla National Park. From the park opposite the shops in Dalmeny, cross the wooden footbridge across Lake Mummaga inlet onto Dalmeny Beach and head north. After approximately four kilometres, near a stretch of distinctive sandy red cliffs, you will come to the mouth of the magnificent Lake Brou. This is a possible turning point or continue on to Jemisons Point and then to Potato Point, where you can enjoy a rest and the view from the bench seat high on the south side of the point.
Length: 14 kilometres return (or eight kilometres return to Brou Lake). Time: Four to five hours return. Grade: Medium.
Very dusty road heading in, campground is a bit uneven, the beach is nice but the waters are rough and not recommended for swimming. The lake is stagnant sea water thats filled with jelly fish. Quiet secluded, 1 or 2 junky ripping their run down subaru across the park not knowing what to do. Nice place to fish
Its not a free camp, bookings made through national parks website. Only 6$ booking fee for 1 to 7 nights. Several campers thoughtout our stay came in after dark and left early morning.
Peaceful, quiet and scenic. Beautiful lake. We saw a big flock of black swans on the lake and a solo pelican on the beach. Appreciate the zero cost camping fees.
Gorgeous forest, beach and lake with shady sites (not so good for solar in winter though). The wildlife did however take a liking to our breakfast (yes kookaburras, currawongs, magpies and a butcher bird all kept a close eye). But would highly recommend for the beautiful environment.
Perfect spot for beach walking and chasing golden sunset. The place is very quiet and peaceful surrounded by beautiful trees. The sound of waves help you relax after a long day of activities. There’s one toilet available in the place. I highly recommend this spot.
