Home of the famous Australian Bass, there is something for everyone. If you can see yourself water-skiing the flat waters of a lake one day, hiking mountainous terrain, fishing the next, and enjoying a wine tasting experience the day after, you've found your dream holiday destination – you’ll love it here.
Just 15 minutes out of Scone, the horse capital of Australia, and an hour’s drive from the Hunter Valley, the spacious dogfriendly park is an oasis of rolling hills, pristine water, plentiful wildlife and iconic freshwater fishing.
Explore the captivating landscape, marvel at the impressive dam wall, and water-ski out on the lake. Or simply relax and soak up the views from your blissful spot on the hillside or campsite on water’s edge.
We camped from new years eve for 4 days, had a great time when we finally found a spot was absolutely packed. Everyone started clearing out on the 2/1. Got very windy of an afternoon. Great shop, good amenities and clean dump point. Beautiful views, would go back just not on peak public holidays, need 4wd to get to some spots. Dogs loved it, specially the swimming
Amazing location...great cabins...awesome experience. Best to go weekdays for the least crowds, very peaceful in the morning and afternoon during weekdays. Place with multiple great hideouts for setting up camps or either sitting out and enjoying the nature...important to be mindful and respectful to all the surrounding nature 🦘
Stayed in dog friendly cabins. Unfortunately not dog friendly as no fenced area so up all hour to take dogs to toilet. Parking around 15m to cabin and up hill. Room not cleaned very well as bathroom had face washer used from last stay still in shower. Tables very cramped in areas. Only outside area for dogs off leash is balcony. Around 400m from water edge with a good view. Signs confusing around park, as no fire signs with a purpose built fire pit. Staff very helpful.
Highly recommend, we stayed in bush camping and had a fabulous time fishing and camping. The dam is beautiful, really clean, and the water is crystal clear. The staff are very friendly and helpful with everything. It can get busy during summer.
Lake Glenbawn is a fantastic place to stay. The views are absolutely wonderful, and the accommodation is excellent—comfortable and well-maintained. The whole area is peaceful and quiet, with plenty of spacious outdoor areas to enjoy. It’s excellent value for money and really exceeded my expectations. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking for relaxation in a beautiful natural setting.
