I visited today and truly felt it was worth coming. The lotus flowers are in full bloom at the moment and absolutely stunning. It was a beautiful experience walking around and seeing so many vibrant, colourful flowers. Before leaving at around 1pm, I decided to purchase a $20 bouquet. I asked a staff member how to care for the flowers at home. She advised me to place them in water and keep them in direct sunlight for 6–8 hours a day. I also asked how long they would last, and she told me around 7 days. She did mention that the flowers close at night and reopen in the morning. However, about an hour after I left, three of the flowers had already started wilting. I was quite surprised and concerned, so I searched online for proper care instructions. The information I found indicated that cut lotus/water lily bouquets should be kept cool and away from direct sunlight, as heat and sun exposure can cause them to fade more quickly. I felt quite upset because the advice given was not accurate for a cut bouquet and may have contributed to the flowers wilting so quickly. While the visit itself was lovely and the flowers were beautiful, I hope the staff can be provided with clearer guidance on how to advise customers about bouquet care in the future.
