The Discovery Science and Technology Centre is uniquely placed to break down barriers to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics participation, providing hands-on learning experiences to inspire curiosity in people of all ages. It is also home to a brand new, state of the art planetarium. A planetarium for Bendigo, by Bendigo.
The Discovery Science and Technology Centre features over 100 hands-on exhibits, a 7.5 meter tall vertical slide, and Roary - their 2.5 metre tall and very chatty Tyrannosaurus Rex. For the past 30 years, the centre has given people the opportunity and confidence to be active, engaged citizen scientists and to nurture the next generation of confident, creative thinkers.

We visited the Bendigo Science Centre, and our kids absolutely loved the interactive science and play areas. They had so much fun learning through play. We enjoyed it just as much as they did — even their grandmother got involved and had a great time! A wonderful experience for the whole family.

We had a fantastic time at DS&TC! The visit was fun, engaging, and full of learning opportunities. We watched a fascinating solar system screening at the planetarium, enjoyed an exciting science show about wild weather, and the boys loved challenging themselves on the vertical slide. We also played for hours at the science playground. Altogether, we spent about 3 hours there, and every moment was worth it.

We (Mum and four children) visited in the school holidays and had a fabulous time. The Time Warp show was entertaining thanks to Harry and Miles did a great job with everyone on the Vertical Slide and the planetarium presentation. Although some of the exhibits are a little dated, you can touch and have a go at everything. A great place for families to learn. Two real positives of our visits - 1) you can come and go through out the day with the same ticket 2) you can bring in your own food and drinks or exit and purchase food from the nearby shops then return for more fun.

Fantastic. My 5 year old loved it wants to back there. A lot of hands on science experiments that she could play with. The slide was also a memorable experience although a bit scary for her. Definitely go to planetarium. Harry the presenter was very engaging. Excellent with kids. Recommended

I thought the kids would be the only ones enjoying this, I was wrong. This place is great for young and old. Highly recommend doing the planetary tour. It was very informative and interesting. Kids and I all had a ball. We spent hours here. Highly recommend.
