Located in the foothills of the Rubicon State Forest, approximately two and a half hours north east of Melbourne, Snobs Banyarmbite Falls, also known as Snobs Creek Falls, is a striking tiered waterfall with a total drop of around 100 metres.
Its pristine waters are an important supply to the Snobs Creek Fish Hatchery 6 kilometres below.
From the carpark, take the winding 150-metre stepped path as it descends under the large blanket of trees, down to the 2 viewing platforms, which offer wonderful opportunities to take photos of the impressive, tiered waterfall rushing and tumbling down over the large boulders.
Please note there is no public toilet at this site.
This is a small, clear waterfall flowing through a lush forest.
Surrounded by green ferns and tall trees, the water gently cascades over rocks into a calm stream.
The scene feels fresh, peaceful, and full of natural beauty.

Beautiful waterfall in the heart of Eildon. Approx 5km of off-road. Don forget to visit the bigger one. People often do not realise there are two located close to each other.

Snobs Creek Falls is a hidden gem in the Lake Eildon region. The viewing platform gives a stunning close-up of the powerful cascade as it drops into the rocky gorge below. The walk from the car park is short and easy, making it accessible for families. The sound of rushing water and the surrounding bushland create a refreshing, peaceful atmosphere. Best visited after rain, when the falls are at their most impressive. Definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring the Eildon or Thornton area.
