A lovely hidden Gem!!!! I highly recommend for those looking for a special location with historical meaning. Part of the Australian Heritage and a little wonderland. Walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Susan is lovely… she invited me into the garden to have my hot chocolate.

Lovely place for a visit / coffee and for a private event! May Gibbs is a fascinating woman and it is amazing to step into her world by visiting her former house. Impressive to see how the house was saved by fans against private investors who have 0 interest for history, heritage and literature. Perfect for Australians who grew up surrounded by her children books and for non Australians who are curious or discovered her work later. Out of the historical aspect, the house, the gardens and the views are superb. It makes it a perfect spot for a quiet snack, coffee or lunch break. There are activities for children and a lovely shop (try not to buy half of it 😅) too. I organized a private event there as well later and it was just perfect. Available and friendly manager, professional/helpful and lovely staff (rare to see such level of service quality in Sydney), good food beautifully served. Really perfect to make your event unforgettable. Plus it gives the opportunity to your guests to visit the house, which both adults and children guests loved. I highly recommend to go and visit in any case!

Fantastic, loved every minute and the charming elderly Australian man was the perfect tour guide. Beautifully presented with old world charm which suits the cottages magical atmosphere. Nostalgic and knowledgeable.

Love it! Learnt a lot about May Gibbs and what a blessing for Australia to have such a gifted artist in the history!
