Had a really great day with Frankland Islands Reef Cruises. Everything was well organised from the bus to the boat, with a nice river ride before heading out to the reef. Staff were friendly and informative, and the snorkelling was excellent. The snorkel safari was a highlight — we saw a reef shark, manta ray, turtle and plenty of coral and fish. Lunch was fresh with good variety, and the island itself is beautiful. The kids on board loved the treasure hunt too. Would definitely recommend for a relaxed and enjoyable day out.
A wonderful day out! We had an amazing experience on this tour. The team were very caring and professional helping everyone to feel safe and comfortable with all activities. It is a small group of around 50 including staff on the entire island. It is paradise with beautiful clear water. We saw crocodiles on the River Cruise and when snorkelling we saw a variety of fish and turtles.
We booked a half-day tour to Franklin Island and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a full day, which was a lovely bonus. The staff and crew were fantastic from start to finish—they really took care of us on the journey there, while on the island, and on the way back. Unfortunately, the snorkeling conditions weren’t great. Visibility was poor, and we didn’t see much at all. The equipment could also use an upgrade, especially the snorkeling gear and pool noodles. The website also advertised a glass bottom boat experience, however this wasn’t available on the day as the boat wasn’t operating. This was a bit disappointing, and it would be good to see this either fixed or removed from the website to better manage expectations. That said, Riley and Ivan truly made the day. We shared plenty of conversations and laughs, and they created such a great atmosphere. We understand that Mother Nature wasn’t on our side this time, but their effort and energy made the experience memorable regardless.
This tour provides the best experience for nature lovers. The information given by the guide on the history, flora and fauna made the trip. The area is beautiful, not crowded, and the staff are exceptional. Their efforts in sustainability and conservation are easy to see. We loved it!
Max and Abbi were absolutely amazing. But a huge shout-out to Max. I have never snorkeled before and neither am I a confident swimmer. He let me hold on to a buoy and led us on a snorkeling tour . And he also shared interesting facts about all the fishes and the ecosystem. As a nerd who only admired them on TV as a child, it was an amazing experience and a dream come true and I am very greatful. I felt safe through . Thank you Max for making my day and it was the highlight of my vacation. I loved the island walk as well. Very interesting facts, delivered in a interesting way. Keep up the great work. Thanks again Max ! Ure doing an amazing job.
