Absolutely fantastic experience for both the young ones and the not so young. Plenty to see and do at the aquarium with a look and touch area where the kids can put their hands in to touch the various sea life as you enter. The see-through walking tunnel section is excellent and interactive with sting rays, sharks, fish and other sea life swimming next you and over you which you can see the Great White Shark razor sharp teeth up close. There is also the Penguin section with Penguins showing in the pool or "chilling" out on the rocks. The Jellyfish section is also excellent but I highly recommend the live Seal Show at 10:30am and 12:30pm and afterwards stop at the cafe for a bucket of chips and a hot or cold drink.
Had such a great time at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast! Perfect place for families and kids, with so many beautiful marine animals to see. The tunnel was amazing and the exhibits were well presented and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was fun and relaxing. Definitely worth visiting if you’re around the Sunshine Coast!
Enjoyed this experience with my son a lot. photo taken upon entry, All the tanks were awesome to see and the environment was surprisingly very clean and well maintained and all the staff members were friendly and amazing. My sons absolute favourite was the walk through tank with all the sharks and more sea life creatures inside it was cool seeing the cleaners clean the tank as we walked through the tunnel
This was a great little outing for me and my two girls while up in the sunshine Coast for a few days. It is not a huge attraction though this doesn't take away from all the beautiful sea animals. There was not too much going on that specific day and the seals were not visible, and we couldn't stay long enough for the seal show. There is a great play centre and jellyfish section upon exiting which is great for small children. It's a great spot though, right near the marina, with lots of food and shopping right there, so that was great to do after.
I’m not a big fan of sea creatures but it’s still the top tourist attraction on the Sunshine Coast that everyone would visit. Ticket costs $50 per adult and $40 per student on public holiday. It’s sort of crowded and busy because today is Australian Day and a lot of parents are taking their children here. When I first walked into the aquarium, it feels kinda dull because there were only ordinary creatures like seahorses and some fish but some of the decorative corals stands out quite a bit. The baby penguin area has an odour but it seems like the kids are having fun with them, but the colourful fish across from the penguin area is so underrated. The exhibited shark with mouth opened wide is so cool but I can’t tell if it’s real or not, maybe artificial I guess. Shark teeth are also iconic to take a picture of. Moreover, I can genuinely tell why the aquarium is so popular that even people from Brisbane drive all the way just to see the shark swimming around because it’s my favourite section. Sometimes you can even see divers trying to feed the sharks inside the chamber. On the other hand, the stingrays look so cool and underrated whenever they are going above your head. The seal show took place around 10:30 in the morning, which looked fun, but I only went past, took a photo, and didn’t watch the entire show. However, the souvenir shop is filled with all kinds of items including Spongebob plushies and there’s a cafeteria after exiting the souvenir shop. Afterwards, you’ll enter the jellyfish zone not only with colour changing jellyfish but also Nemo from Finding Nemo. Overall, I had a lot of fun in the aquarium and the air conditioning is cool enough to prevent me from sweating.
