We have stayed here several times & are never disappointed with our room. The owners are lovely (if you are lucky enough to meet them), but the managers are just as nice 😊 We upgraded this time to the Slab Hut and just wow. The only negative this stay, was the condition of the gardens and lawn, overgrown and a bit shabby. We will be back and won't stay anywhere else in Longreach 😉

We stayed for 7 nights and found it to be spotless with a comfy bed and pillows, great ac and a really lovely atmosphere. It is a short walk to the Qantas Museum and Stockman's Hall of Fame with a leisurely and pretty walk into town about 25 mins. There are certain businesses that offer free pick up as well. They are a welcoming team at Saltbush with pick up and drop off at the airport another great feature. Highly recommended.

Very friendly welcome from Ron who promptly picked me up from the airport. Shuttle bus to restaurants for dinner was also amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to luxuriate in the outdoor baths but would love to next time. Appointments inside the rooms are beautiful with lovely character and charm. Extremely comfortable bed and lovely thick towels. Would recommend for a beautiful getaway that is a little different.

We enjoyed our stay at Saltbush retreat. Great location, within walking distance to town, around the corner from the Stockman’s Hall and across the road from Qantas Founders Centre. Cabins were comfortable and clean. Property also offered 3 artesian water baths. The managers were welcoming and very helpful. Would recommend this property for your Longreach visit.

Highly recommended for visiting pilots , offered pickup and drop off back to the airport. Rooms were clean and comfortable for a nights stay. 25 minute walk to town but shuttle buses from restaurants available. Walk to qantas museum or the outback museum attractions .
